The role

We make sharp, data-driven AI and tech videos. Think Zack D Films' kinetic explainer style and Cleo Abram's clean, premium motion design. We need an animator who can go beyond flat 2D into 3D space, rockets, satellites, chips, product breakdowns, orbital paths, and turn dry facts into visually addictive sequences. Fast pacing, tight sync, zero clutter.

What you'll do

• Build kinetic typography, icon animations, and data visualizations synced beat-for-beat with voiceover

• Animate maps, charts, comparisons, and stat reveals with punchy, premium motion

• Create 3D scenes and objects (rockets, satellites, chips, devices, globes) with camera moves, depth, and lighting

• Blend 2D and 3D in the same sequence seamlessly

• Build custom transitions and scene builds, not templated ones

• Expert-level keyframe and graph editor work for organic, snappy easing

• Collaborate with editors to slot motion graphics into fast-turnaround news/explainer videos

• Maintain a consistent visual system (colors, type, icon style, 3D render style) across episodes

What we're looking for

• Portfolio showing Zack D Films or Cleo Abram style explainer animation, both 2D and 3D

• Expert in After Effects (Trapcode, Illustrator-to-AE pipeline a plus)

• 3D tool proficiency: Cinema 4D (with Redshift/Octane) or Blender, integrated into AE workflow

• Strong animation fundamentals: timing, easing, anticipation, follow-through, in both 2D and 3D space

• Comfortable animating data (bar races, counters, map reveals, comparison charts) and building 3D objects/environments from scratch

• Original, licensed software only

• High-performance setup, fast render/export workflow

• Can handle high volume without losing polish
